Altered Wing Studio is an artist collective. Currently we have 11 artists in house who create everything from jewelry, clothing, art, home decor, paper crafting, metal smithing, furniture refinishing, upcycling and soldering. Several of the artists offer classes in their specialized areas. We have a beautiful retail area stocked full of all of the beautiful creations from these amazing artisans. Gathering Grace on Altered Wings

Date: January 9 &10, 2016
Place: Altered Wing
Time: 9:30 – 4:30 each day
Cost: $200.00 for both days

Join Roxanne Evans Stout and Lorri Scott and add a burst of color to your winter.

Learn botanical and rust dye printing with Lorri Scott.  If weather permits we will go outside to gather nature but if we can’t do that Lorri and Roxanne will bring a variety of things from leaves and flowers to twigs and seed pods.

We will take our dyed fabrics and papers and combine them with our nature finds to create collages and compose your own Gathering Grace booklet.

The closer we observe nature and hold gratitude for our surroundings the more creative energy thrives and we realize is an important way to grace our lives.

Come explore and create your grace with us.

Gathering Grace on Altered Wings

Happy Fall from here in Northern California!  Altered Wing Studio is busy gearing up for the last show of the season,

  We are busy creating tags and boxes (soon to be a class that you won't want to miss) ornaments, jewelry, clothing, hats and scarves, Oh, MY!  The birds are laying even more eggs, Cara has been painting furniture, Bern is in the tower hammering away, Ginger is sewing like a mad woman smack dab in the middle of a huge pile of flannel, Kimberly is knitting with beautiful silks and fibers, Viki is hammering, soldering and drawing crazy eyed cats.  Anne is busy making new jewelry, Dee is making a mess with gold glitter for her amazing banners and Jenney is busy stocking everything you will need for you paper art creations.


Kimberly and Ginger are so excited  to announce this wonderful class coming in January 2016.  It would be a wonderful Christmas gift or a special treat for yourself!  We'll be sharing more information about class outline and supply list soon.

Class Me, Please!

We're all moved in and loving it!  Kimberly and I are so excited about our new location.  Stop by and say hello.  Just look for the beautiful Altered Wing sign that Kimberly designed.

Fabric Flowers
This class is a fun and easy adventure into fabrics, fibers buttons and lace.  We will use heat including open flame to help form and manipulate the materials into beautiful flowers.You will create 4 different flowers.  $25.00


Sewing 101
Learn the basics of sewing including the ins and out of the sewing machine, how to read a pattern and turn all those words into a product that you can be proud to take home. $65.00 for 3…1 hour classes

To Dye For Class
You will learn the fun art of hand dyeing ribbon using traditional dyes, homemade dyes and other mediums used for staining.  You will also see how easy it is to add dimension to your dyed ribbon and then some ideas on what to do with your creations.  $40 you will go home with 30 yards of ribbon and lace that you hand dyed yourself! All supplies included.



Vintage Ribbon Cuff Class
Hand design your own cuff using vintage velvets and hand dyed ribbons and lace.  Learn how to twist and knot the ribbons to form flowers and how to add other elements to your cuff to make it one of a kind.  $30 all supplies 

Basic Word Collage
Make a fun canvas with your favorite word using different techniques to build a background and then add a little of this and that to make it your own.  $20 all supplies included EXCEPT canvas

Inspirational Girl Collage
Learn how to paint and collage a background and then create your own girl using different papers and paint.  See how bubble wrap and things found at the dollar store add fun and layers to your work of art.  Add a phrase or word and some charcoal to finish off the canvas with some hand dyed ribbon around the edges.  All supplies included $43. 


Handbag 101
Using some painter’s tarp you will design a bag unique to you including pockets.  Never sewn before?  That's OK... this is a perfect beginning project. $48

Crochet Beaded Necklace
Learn the basic chain stitch for crochet and add crystals and other beads to create a beautiful long necklace or wrap bracelet.
All supplies included $25

Paper Flowers
Using different papers and other mixed media supplies you will created two beautiful flowers.  Everything is included and you take the patterns home :)  $20 

Monoprinting Class
Learn the art of Monoprinting using a Gelli Print Plate.
Print over 40 sheets of paper and learn 5 techniques for creating your own beautiful papers and designs.  $85.00 all supplies included EVEN the Gelli Plate which is yours to keep.

 Prayer Banner Class
Create 4 banners with images, words and other mixed media supplies that speak to your own heart.  We will then string them together to make ainspirational banner to hang in your favorite room or in the garden.  $50 All supplies included



Chicken Wire Crowns
Make a custom Chicken Wire Crown that fits your head...so you can wear it for the princess you are!  We will layer all kinds of fun things on your crown to make it personal and fun. This is a fun class to do for a girl’s night out.  All supplies included.  $30

Spoon Me
Make your own spoon pendant.  Learn how to hammer, flatten, drill, cut, grind and stamp your own pendant out of a spoon.  Bring your own saying or favorite word.  All supplies included $25.
